ECONOMIC AND LIFE
EMPOWERMENT THROUGH STEM
CAREERS AND BUSINESSES.
Our mission is to alleviate income, wealth and opportunity disparity by facilitating and deploying STEM (science, engineering, technology and math) related content, events, and educational experiences aimed at helping people from marginalized backgrounds obtain steady and high paying employment, while starting the journey towards building generational wealth.
By empowering, educating and equipping people from marginalized backgrounds with practical skills and certifications in high demand STEM fields, careers, and businesses, we can enable these individuals to have a greater degree of career and life stability, flexibility, and palpability. In addition to providing service recipients with employable skills and aptitudes, we seek to allow them to do so in a cost-effective and/or debt-free approach that will help them avoid the all to common trap of mounting college debt and student loans.
The income, wealth and opportunity gap is a growing disparity, which, if not proactively addressed will leave marginalized populations disproportionally subject to continued poverty, homelessness, and economic instability with little chance at redemptive life progression.
Percentage of jobs with exposure to automation technology.
# of jobs in hospitality, retail, and food service which will be displaced by AI.
Percentage of African American and Latinx employees at top tech firms in US.
Most of the jobs alluded to in the above mentioned statistics are jobs that are disproportionally held by African Americans, Hispanics, and low-income households of other backgrounds and ethnicities. In an already and ever increasing economic disparity that leaves many of these workers attempting to live at means below the standard or average cost of living, these communities are at greatest risk of becoming victim to even greater poverty as society becomes more reliant on automation technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and software applications.
